Happy Monday, AHGS! Here's your Quickslither score for today. Hope to see lots of green lights today!
Today is National Dress Alike Day. Send a picture of you dressed like someone. I am looking forward to seeing your faces. 🤗
Good Afternoon Atwood-Hammond Grade School families. Meal distribution will be Monday, April 20 from 9-11 am. If you are picking up meals during that time we will continue to put your updated learning packets in with your meals. When you come to pick up meals please bring your child’s completed work. Teachers are basing the pass and incomplete grade on the completion of these work packets so it is extremely important that your child does this work. If you are not picking up meals we ask that you come get your child’s updated learning packets and return completed work anytime from 3-5 pm on Monday, April 20. If you can place your child’s completed work in some sort of bag with their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the front that would be wonderful.
Remember, both procedures will be run as a drive through. We ask that you come into the East parking lot. A staff member will be out there to “check” you in and we will bring materials to your car. In order to practice social distancing we ask that you just open your trunk and we will place materials in the trunk. If we cannot get into your trunk we can place things in the backseat or hand them to you through the window. Please have your child’s completed work in a bag in the trunk or ready to hand through the window as well. We will make sure it gets to the correct teacher. This helps ensure that when we deliver the meals and/or updated packets we can retrieve the completed work without making physical contact as well.
Thank you Doris Elmore for this wonderful article! AHGS is full of staff that cares and misses their students! Remember to stay connected! We will get through this together! #GoKnights
Mrs. Sullivan's 8th graders are reading The Omnivore's Dilemma. They went on a scavenger hunt and found that corn is in many of our pantry items! The next time you drive by a field of corn, think about how amazing this crop is!
We want to know what you’re reading!! For today’s challenge take a picture of you with a good book you are reading or the best book you have read since you’ve been home! Tell us something great about your book!
It's April 17 and it's Friday! Thanks to all the parents & care providers for posting pictures and scores and comments about green lights. Today's score isn't quite as high as yesterday, but it's all good, I will keep trying next week because it's not as much about my score as it is giving my brain a quick workout so I don't forget my facts.
Spent the afternoon preparing packets for April 20! Thank you to all the teachers and parents! We make a great team! #GoKnights Pick up is April 20 from 9-11 if you are getting meals and 3-5 if you are just picking up packets!
Today’s Knights Challenge is to show us what chore you do at home to help your family!!
Thursday, April 16, my highest score of the week. I was trying to see how fast I could get a green light and I think it took 6 or 7 minutes. It's hard to watch the clock and do the math at the same time. Can you get one today? Be sure to share.
Today’s challenge is brought to you by Mrs. Harvey! Please share how you are enjoying music over this time at home or share a video/picture of you signing or playing an instrument. 🎶
April 15, 2020, it's Wednesday, my scores got a little better today. I'm looking forward to green lights though, this cloudy weather needs brightened up.
It's Tuesday, April 14th. Today's Quickslither score awaits defeat. I think it was my first time ever getting a perfect "thousand".

Happy Monday AHGS Nation! Ms. Arney's Quickslither score is ready for defeat. It's a windy, and cloudy day out there so light up our feed with enough green lights and high scores we need some green light glasses to shade our eyes.
Distributing meals until 11! Come see us if you ordered meals!
Break out those lab coats and goggles! Today’s daily challenge is to do a simple experiment with your family!
