Reminder, AHGS! Our Tat-A-Teacher Fundraiser is happening THIS WEEK, November 17–20! Students can purchase temporary tattoos and choose which staff member they want their tattoos to go on. On Friday, November 21, participating teachers will proudly wear every tattoo they receive! The class that buys the most tattoos wins a DONUT PARTY! Thank you for supporting the AHGS Sunshine Committee! 💛

AHGS Tat-A-Teacher Fundraiser! The Sunshine Committee is bringing a FUN new fundraiser to Atwood-Hammond Grade School… Tat-A-Teacher! November 17–20 Students can purchase temporary tattoos and choose which staff members they want to “tat” with their temporary tattoos! Then on Friday, November 21, our participating teachers and staff will show off all the temporary tattoos students selected for them! The class that sells the most tattoos wins a donut party! 🍩

We have a temporary fix in place for the boiler at Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School and anticipate that we will have school on Tuesday, November 11th. As of now our Veteran's Day program will go on as planned. If something develops later today or overnight and we need to alter those plans, we will alert you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this situation.

We were just made aware that there is an issue with the boiler at Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School and with no heat in the building we will not be able to conduct classes today. We will be dismissing all high school students at 8:45 a.m. Bus students will be transported home at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for our students, faculty and families. We will update you on the status of the building as that information becomes available to us. Any decisions related to extracurriculars will be communicated by 1 p.m. today. This does not affect elementary students or our elementary buildings.

Congratulations to Mrs. Crist, our amazing 3rd grade teacher, for being named Teacher of the Week by the News-Gazette! AHGS is so blessed to have Mrs. Crist on our team! She’s a shining example of what it means to be a Knight. She is hardworking, caring, creative, and always putting her students first. Thank you for all you do to make AHGS a better place every single day. We’re so proud of you, Mrs. Crist!
