Congratulations to the Blue Jays!! Their team won the school's 2nd ever Battle of the Books. Students in 3-5th grade formed teams, read from the list of 20 Bluestem nominees, and voted for their favorite book. Votes will be counted across the state to select this year's winning title for the Illinois Readers' Choice Award. Special recognition goes out to all the teams. Included is a photo of the Blue Jays (Alex, Brynn, and Gabi) and our runner up, The Infinities (Iris, Kaidan, Bentley, Jace, and Lane). Read on!!

Our students raised almost $700 for the Atwood PD over the last six weeks. The top three donors shaved Chief Duncan's beard today at an assembly!
Our whole school played BINGO for our 3rd Quarter PBIS Incentive today! Winners received $10 gift cards to Casey's!

AHGS 4th-8th Graders had an incredible time at Silver Skate in Mattoon today for our IAR Celebration. The students did our school proud and loved every minute of it. They should sleep well tonight!
