Weekend Update

Hello Knight Family:

We have officially rolled into the fall sports season with cross country traveling to Clinton tomorrow, soccer has had one match, volleyball beat Tuscola on the road for their season opener last night, and golf has been swinging at matches for the last two weeks.  Our cheerleaders have been working for weeks to amp up our school spirit and help everyone get involved!  Tonight we host Tri-Valley with our first home football game of the season and we kick it off with our 2nd annual Knights Fest. The Marching Knights will also be joining us!  Make sure to catch the student section on the east end of the football field where our Knights are dressing in all red.

Did I mention we are having food trucks and our National Honor Society is trying their hands at homemade lemon shake ups?  Can it get any better? Knights Fest is from 4-7 on the practice field with Kona Ice, Slow Spark BBQ, Sizzling Tizzler, Shake Ups, Inflatables and Zipline! Wristbands are $10 for unlimited access on inflatables, zipline and entrance to the football game. All funds raised support Knights athletics. All community members are welcome!

Don’t forget to join us for our  Open House on Thursday, September 1st from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.  This is a great opportunity for you to meet your student’s teachers as well as navigate the halls of ALAH!

  • Meet us in the gym foyer area from 6 to 6:30.  Our faculty will be grilling hot dogs!  It’s a great place to meet our faculty.  Your whole family is welcome.

  • 6:30 - 7:00 walk through the hallways and see where your student goes to English or Computer Science, etc.  You will have the opportunity to go to all of our classrooms.

Information about Sarah Bush Lincoln dental services went out this week. If you would like your student to be seen, please return the form to the office by August 31st. If your freshman needs the required proof of dental exam, the SBL Dental Services will meet that requirement.
