Hello Knight Family:

Tuesday is a big day at ALAH High School!  Our freshmen and sophomores will be taking the ACT 9 and 10, while our juniors will tackle the official ACT—truly a capstone moment in their high school journey. Earlier today, you should have received an email with detailed information about the schedule and what students need to know.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

So what are our seniors up to while the rest of the school is testing?  They’ll be participating in one of our favorite traditions: the Senior Etiquette Workshop.  Since 2018, this event has helped prepare students not just for their senior trip, but for life beyond high school.  From practicing professional handshakes and building conversation skills to navigating social media and even how to properly eat fried chicken, this day is packed with life lessons.  Seniors will also receive their graduation robes and important end-of-year information.  We wrap up the morning with a special lunch at Yoder’s, where students are paired with local business and community leaders.  A big thank-you to the Arthur Rotary Club and the State Bank of Arthur for making this meaningful event possible!

Is your student looking for a summer job?  The Arthur Park District is hiring for lifeguards.  Applications for these are in the office.  Arthur CUSD #305 is also hiring this summer for their summer maintenance crew, Summer Employment Application.  Apply here if you are interested.  Speaking of jobs, did you know that Arthur CUSD is hiring full time permanent custodians?  More information may be found at https://www.cusd305.org/page/job-vacancies.

Post Prom plans have been announced and the sign up forms are in the office!  You must sign up before May 2nd.  Parent signatures are required.  There is no cost for the event and includes all activities and food for the night!  This is ONLY for juniors and seniors plus their guests attending Prom.  A huge shout out to the junior parents who have organized this event.
