Hello Knight Family:

It has been one of those weeks where what you plan isn’t necessarily what happens.  We thank everyone for their flexibility on Monday afternoon.  We also want to thank Miller Bus for helping out so quickly as well as J.C. Oye Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning, Jack Oye and Bob Gingerich, our custodial crew, and our faculty/staff.  Everyone from our cooks to Mr. Cheek stepped in to help get things under control and fixed.  We are so fortunate that the leak didn’t happen at night or on the weekend.

We have a Fine Arts packed weekend.  A few of our band and chorus students are traveling to EIU for the ILMEA District 5 Festival and our fall play weekend is finally here!  Everyone is invited to watch  Mutually Assured Destruction tonight on Friday, Nov. 22nd at 7:00 p.m. with a second performance on Sunday, Nov. 24th at 2:00 p.m.  This show is a laugh-out-loud comedy about sibling relationships in 10 different decades.  Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students & seniors.  We have 34 students participating as actors and crew in this show!

Next week on Monday during our flex period, our journalism and yearbook class will be holding a fundraiser during flex on Monday, November 25.  Think baked goods and a student tournament!  There will be a bake sale going on in the gym foyer.  The bake sale will include a wide variety of snacks and treats that will be made by the journalism and yearbook class.  There will also be a knockout tournament taking place in the old gym during this time that costs $2.00 to enter.  The knockout tournament will have prizes awarded to the winners.  Students may also just watch in the gym if they don’t want to participate.

Don’t forget that on Tuesday evening, our cheerleaders are hosting a ‘Sadie Hawkins’ dance.  It is following our first home boys basketball game from 9 p.m. - 11 p.m.  Remember no date needed, the dance is casual (t-shirts, flannels, etc.) and admission is $5.

We only have school on Monday and Tuesday next week and then we are off for the Thanksgiving holiday.
