Hello Knight Family:
If you missed our Veterans Day activities, you can still experience the event by visiting our YouTube channel. There, you'll find the full program and a video showcasing our inspiring ‘Field of Flags’. In the coming days, we’ll also upload an interview with Mr. Wally Kistler, conducted by our broadcasting class. On Monday afternoon, our FCS classes served lunch to 85 attendees, including Mr. Kistler—an honored World War II veteran—and his family, as well as our guest speaker, Gunnar Edwards.
Also this week our Student Council attended our regional Fall Retreat in Sidney. Our students were given the opportunity to make donations for the organization Salt & Light and write holiday cards for the elderly. They practiced team building with their tables. Students then got to listen to the speaker, Jim Rossow (Vice President of The News Gazette), speak about his role and the future of printed paper.
The Class of 2025 has kicked off a fundraiser, selling cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls and pumpkin butter just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Orders are due by Monday, the 18th and will be delivered on Monday, the 25th! If a member of the senior class has not reached out to you, please call the office to place your order. Don’t forget to check Skyward for updated information on your student’s senior trip money.
Although our fall sport seasons have come to an end, our school is still constantly buzzing. Our Bass Fishing Team is practicing, our cheerleaders are moving from football cheerleading to basketball cheerleading and our Knight’s basketball teams have started practices. The girls kick off their season with three road games next week! Our fall play is coming quickly on November 22 & 24th. Mark your calendars to join us for the Friday evening performance at 7 p.m. or the matinee on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Have you heard that our Cheerleaders are planning a new tradition? Our very own “Sadie Hawkins” Dance! The dance is on Tuesday, November 26th following our first home boys basketball game from 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. (Wednesday, November 27th is our first day of Thanksgiving break.) Here are a few more details:
You do not have to go with a "date". You can go with a friend or by yourself just like any other dance.
Wear matching shirts or outfits with your date. (Keep in mind this is somewhat of a barn theme so something like flannels, t-shirts, or you can be creative!) The dance is more laid back and school appropriate.
Admission is $5
