One Good Fact: Wild salmon get a pinkish hue in their flesh from eating astaxanthin, an antioxidant found in their prey. Astaxanthin is not naturally present in the feed given to farm-raised salmon and needs to be added to it; otherwise the salmon flesh will be grayish instead of pink.

Blood Drive - Student Council is hosting a blood drive this Thursday. Students 16 and older can donate blood (16 year olds need parent permission). The US is experiencing a blood shortage right now, so the Red Cross is offering $20 Amazon gift cards to anyone who donates this month. One donation can save up to 4 lives!
