Hello Knight Family:
Each Friday at 10 AM we run eligibility. We use it to help determine participation in extracurricular activities, open campus lunch and study hall privileges along with a way to systematically communicate with students and parents. If your student has an F in one or more classes then you should receive an automated message from our system telling you your student is required to be on closed campus lunch the following week. Students who are failing a class or have less than a C- are also required to stay for study hall every day the following week. It is so much easier to start the semester strong than starting in a hole. We would encourage you to check your student’s grades through Skyward and communicate with their teacher. And speaking of Skyard, did you know you can also see any missing assignments through Skyward? If you need help accessing your account please be sure to call the office.
Beginning tonight we are hosting the Boys Lincoln Prairie Conference Tournament. What does this mean? There will be over 15 basketball games and many people joining us between today and next weekend. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help with the scoreboard and please encourage your student to work to earn money toward their senior trip! (Yes, parents can work too.) Just call the office for more information or to sign up!
One last call for anyone who is interested in participating in my Parent Principal’s Advisory Committee. We will begin our meetings in February and have four scheduled meetings before the end of the school year. We will cover topics such as communication, curriculum and our school handbook. I would love to have your input.
