  • Happy Birthday over the weekend to Zamir Scott, Kaley Herschberger, and today to Carl Holzinger and Makailyn Martin!

  • Fall Play -  The fall play this year is The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Anyone who would like to audition should see Ms. Rund to sign up for a time slot and to get the audition materials. Auditions for the fall play will be September 20th and 21st. Everyone is welcome to audition! Additionally, if you would prefer to be involved backstage on crew, props, set painting, costumes or hair and makeup, please stop by Ms. Rund's room to fill out a form.

  • Science Club will meet in Mrs. Benedict's room after school until 4pm. Science club is a place for students who love the hands on aspects of science. We will be doing experiments throughout the year, keeping up with a propagation station, learning about gardening (plant sale), and they will have the opportunity to enter into local science competitions. Everyone is welcome!

  • Baseball - all students interested in playing baseball should plan to attend a short meeting after school on Tuesday for about 15 minutes in the cafeteria. If you have not turned in your jersey from last year, please bring it to the meeting. 

  • Football (JV) vs. Tri-County 6:00 pm, bus 4:15 pm

  • Golf @ Eagle Creek vs. Okaw Valley - 4:00 pm, bus 2:30 pm

  • Volleyball vs. Tri-County, Freshman game starts at 5:00 pm, JV 6:00pm with varsity to follow. 

  • Study Hall - today is the first day that students will be allowed to leave study hall if grades allow it and if your parent gave permission during registration. Emails were sent out to students and parents so everyone can be aware of their study hall status 

  • On This Day: in 2001, 19 militants associated with the terrorist group al-Qaeda hijacked four planes in the United States, crashing three into buildings (the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania) and killing some 3,000 people.

  • Field Trip - FCCLA to Charleston

  • Service Club meeting during Study Hall - ALAH Military Service Club The first meeting of the ALAH Military Service Club will be Wednesday, September 13th during Study Hall in the New Gym. Military Service Club is a partnership between ALAH High School and local military veteran groups. Its purpose is to gain an understanding and appreciation of all branches of the military, develop patriotism, learn basic drill commands and marching techniques to be used at school assemblies, parades, and ceremonies, develop leadership skills and connect with local community organizations through service. Join us at our interest meeting to learn more, sign up and help plan for upcoming meetings and events. If you have questions, see Mrs. Seegmiller or Mr. Seal.
