  • Yearbooks are in! If you would like to buy last year's yearbook please see Mr. Lee. They are $65 and available on a first come first serve basis. 

  • The Student Council Dance Committee will meet in Mrs. Sluder's room today during study hall.

  • Game club will meet in the library after school today.

  • ALAH Military Service Club The first meeting of the ALAH Military Service Club will be Wednesday, September 13th during Study Hall in the New Gym. Military Service Club is a partnership between ALAH High School and local military veteran groups. Its purpose is to gain an understanding and appreciation of all branches of the military, develop patriotism, learn basic drill commands and marching techniques to be used at school assemblies, parades, and ceremonies, develop leadership skills and connect with local community organizations through service. Join us at our interest meeting to learn more, sign up and help plan for upcoming meetings and events. If you have questions, see Mrs. Seegmiller or Mr. Seal. 

  • Bass Fishing - if you are interested in joining the ALAH Bass Fishing team please complete the Bass Fishing Sign Up Form! A link to the form is in the posted announcements.

  • Golf (Co-Ed V) - Clinton & Okaw Valley 4:30 pm at Kaskaskia Country Club in Arcola.

  • Fall Play - The fall play this year is The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Anyone who would like to audition should see Ms. Rund to sign up for a time slot and to get the audition materials. Everyone is welcome to audition! Additionally, if you would prefer to be involved backstage on crew, props, set painting, costumes or hair and makeup, please stop by Ms. Rund's room to fill out a form. 

  • One Good Fact: George Washington Carver famously developed over 300 uses for the peanut, increasing demand for the legume that became an economic boon for Southern farmers. Less famously, he developed over a hundred uses for the sweet potato, including using it to make paper, paint, and three types of after-dinner mints.
