Weekly Wrap

Dear Knight Families,

PBIS: We are tying our 4th quarter goal into our building wide reading goal. Our goal is that 80% of our students will meet their individual reading goal for the year. If they are unsure of what their goal is they need to ask their teacher or Mrs. Patterson. Hopefully they enjoy this goal and get the chance to read some good books!  Students can earn individual reading awards based on the number of books they read. Each level comes with its own rewards! Pick up a good book and help us reach our goal!

Currently we have read over 14,000 books. Keep reading and help us reach our school-wide goal!

IAR TESTING:  Thank you for helping make IAR testing week a success. We appreciate students being present at school and being on time. We will be conducting make-up exams next week for students that were unable to be in attendance.

8th Grade promotion:  It is getting to be the time of year that we talk about 8th grade promotion. Please note that promotion will be held on Thursday, May 26 at 6 pm. The promotion ceremony will be held at Wilson Field (the Football Field) at Arthur Lovington Atwood-Hammond High School. We will be sending more detailed information out the closer it gets. In the event of bad weather, our rain date will be Saturday, May 28 at 10:00 am.

Track:  If you have not been following our track team I just want to give a huge shout out to them. They are having a wonderful season and have been improving each meet. Our 7th and 8th grade girls just won the track meet held in Arthur on Monday night. Our 8th grade boys also finished in first place while our 7th grade boys came in second. We are extremely proud of them and look forward to seeing what they do the rest of the season.

Have a wonderful weekend!
