Weekly Wrap

Dear Knight Families,

We hope that everyone had a wonderful spring break! Even though the weather wasn't very "springy" I enjoyed some downtime with my family! We are definitely ready for some spring weather.

PBIS: We are tying our 4th quarter goal into our building wide reading goal. Our goal is that 80% of our students will meet their individual reading goal for the year. If they are unsure of what their goal is they need to ask their teacher or Mrs. Patterson. Hopefully they enjoy this goal and get the chance to read some good books!  Students can earn individual reading awards based on the number of books they read. Each level comes with its own rewards! Pick up a good book and help us reach our goal!

April 4-8 and April 11-15: IAR TESTING

We will be holding our state testing in April for 3rd through 8th graders. The students have been working on state standards all year long. These assessments are very important to our school. They help identify what areas our students are strong in and what areas they may need extra support. Please talk to your students and encourage them to try their best on these assessments. 3rd through 5th grade will be taking their assessments April 4-8 while 6th-8th will follow April 11-15. It is EXTREMELY important that your student is in attendance for these assessments. Our entire day is scheduled around them. Students are not allowed to start the test and stop. Once they start they must stay for the entirety of the exam. If you have appointments scheduled during these weeks we ask that you please reschedule them so students are in attendance.

Have a wonderful weekend!
