Weekly Wrap

Dear Knight Families,

Congratulations to our 7th grade volleyball team. They traveled to Tuscola on Monday, March 7 to compete in the sectional. We were excited to take a fan bus for our Junior High Students. We had 56 students ride the fan bus! They sure know how to support their teams! Go Knights!

The 8th grade volleyball team traveled to Meridian on Tuesday night to compete in the Regional semi-finals.  They played a hard fought match! We can't wait to see what these girls accomplish in high school!

PBIS: Our third quarter goal focused on  completing work in a timely manner. Our goal was that 80% of work throughout the school will be completed and turned in on time. The students worked hard and met this goal! To celebrate we did a premiere of the Disney movie "Turning Red" on Friday. Thank you so much for sending in snack and drink donations. The kids enjoyed the day and we loved getting to celebrate their hard work. Our 4th quarter goal is tied into our building wide reading goal. Our goal is that 80% of our students will meet their individual reading goal for the year. If they are unsure of what their goal is they need to ask their teacher or Mrs. Patterson. Hopefully they enjoy this goal and get the chance to read some good books!

April 4-8 and April 11-15: IAR TESTING

We will be holding our state testing in April for 3rd through 8th graders. The students have been working on state standards all year long. These assessments are very important to our school. They help identify what areas our students are strong in and what areas they may need extra support. Please talk to your students and encourage them to try their best on these assessments. 3rd through 5th grade will be taking their assessments April 4-8 while 6th-8th will follow April 11-15. It is EXTREMELY important that your student is in attendance for these assessments. Our entire day is scheduled around them. Students are not allowed to start the test and stop. Once they start they must stay for the entirety of the exam. If you have appointments scheduled during these weeks we ask that you please reschedule them so students are in attendance.

Have a wonderful weekend!
