We need your input!
Your opinions are wanted!! On December 1st from 6 p.m .to 8 p.m., the district will be hosting the second of three facilities discussions in the old gym at the high school. This is open to all community members, parents, and students. If you would like to catch up on the work that has been done to this point, check it out on our website @ CUSD # 305 Facilities Studies. The meeting will have information presented and then table discussions where everyone will get to work through different scenarios and brainstorm ideas. We are hoping to fill the gym for the next round of discussions. If you attended last time, we want you to join us again as the results from that meeting are guiding this meeting. If you didn’t attend the first round, we want you to join us for this round. Bottom line … everyone is welcome and we hope you will join us. UKnighted Flier
Letters went home today regarding our upcoming ALICE active intruder drill. Please take a chance to read it over the break. I have also attached a copy of the letter here.
As you will read there will be no live simulations during this time, just instructions and questions on the ALICE program and how to respond. The second stage of grade school student training will take place on Friday, December 3 during the law enforcement lockdown drill. This drill will include different scenarios presented to students and staff so they can decide how to react. A firearm will NOT be used in this drill. This drill will NOT include simulations that mimic an actual school shooting incident or active shooter event. Parents and guardians may exempt their child for any reason from participating in the walk-through lockdown drill. More information will be sent out prior to the scheduled date of the drill. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Our website has a new look! Make sure you check it out to stay updated on all things ALAH!
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break! Enjoy the time with your family and we will see you back next week! It will be a quick 3 weeks to Christmas break!
