On Friday, December 6th our theme was “Give Back Day” where AGS spent a day of learning about ways we can give and help our community now and year-long. They had many different activities in which they participated that our committee planned for them.
Former student, Andrea Dehart, shared her story and how she gives back to her community. Students assisted her in putting together blankets for children.
Students made Christmas cards for the residents in the nursing home and assisted living.
Ashley Litwiler, along with Derik Eaton, shared about the Girls on the Run program and how students can use words to encourage people.
Nadine Miller discussed how the Arthur Thrift Store gives back to the community and how students can help with their cause. Some of our students participated in a fashion show.
Duane Hopkins from the Arthur Fire Department spoke in an assembly about the food and toy drive they have each year. He spoke about how giving can make you feel good and how you can give throughout the year and not just the holiday season.
Students created bows and made homemade hot chocolate for different businesses around Arthur.
