As the day begins to wind down and as we anxiously await the reopening of our schools tomorrow, I wanted to take a moment and welcome our students and families back as well as extend a thank you to all those involved in the reopening of our schools.
First, to all the students in the district, I cannot begin to express how excited our staff is to see all of you either in person or via remotely. The staff is ready, the buildings are ready and we can’t wait for our journey to begin together tomorrow. Although things may look a little different, we still want you to understand that we are excited for you to become a Knight! I am sure you are nervous, excited, anxious all at the same time and we want you to know that all of those emotions are completely normal and certainly shared by all. Please make sure you are asking questions and reaching out with concerns. The staff is here and eager to help, so take advantage.
Secondly, we want to ask for patience and grace as we venture into the new school year. We have worked diligently and tirelessly to try and meet guidelines that have been set and reset throughout the Summer. I am sure we will have several bumps in the road tomorrow and we just ask for your patience and understanding as we try and adapt to the new guidelines and procedures we have in place to provide us the best chance to move forward with the school year.
Finally, I want to send a sincere thank you to all that were involved in the reopening of our schools. Reinventing how we operate is no small task and there were many people that played a large role in making that possibility a reality. Although we do not know what the future holds for us in regards to educating our children, rest assured that we will continue to work to make sure that the educational experience is the best possible experience we can work together to provide. Thank you and have a restful evening.
