AITCOY - Offers a $500 undergraduate scholarship for two high school seniors who plan on attending a four year college. Applicant must have service, a B average, demonstrate leadership qualities and plan on majoring in social work, counseling, psychology, youth recreation, youth prevention or sociology. America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders - Apply for a $1500 scholarship sponsored by Monsanto Fund. Must be continuing your education in an ag-related field of study.  Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Scholarships
 - Over 450 scholarships are awarded to students all over Illinois. There are 2 scholarships open to all applicants including one specifically for Health Career fields. If an applicant has a Masonic relative, they are also eligible for 4 other scholarships. Arthur Woman's Club Education Scholarship - the Arthur Woman's Club will be awarding educational scholarships for Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond students.   Any interested graduating senior or continuing education student may pick up an application in the guidance office or get the application from this website.  Applications must be returned to the guidance office no later than Wednesday, April 3, 2018.   For any questions, contact the guidance office at 543-2146 or Woman's Club Scholarship Committee Chair Sandy Smith at 543-3264.   (updated Feb 2018)

Atwood-Hammond P.R.I.D.E. $500 Scholarship Form 
Applicants must have attended Atwood-Hammond Grade School and be planning to attend an 4 year college, and 2 yr community college, or a trade school.  Application is available on this website.  The application is due March 31, 2016, and can be mailed to AHGS PRIDE, 316 N. Illinois, Atwood, IL 61913 or can be brought to the AHGS to be put in the PRIDE mailbox.

Central Illinois Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers - The Central Illinois Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is sponsoring a $1500 scholarship to a qualified central Illinois high school senior.  To be eligible, the candidate should be accepted into an engineering college or a junior college with an equivalent engineering academic schedule and are encouraged to have a minimum ACT score of 28.   The candidate must reside within the counties of Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, Shelby, and the southern parts of DeWitt and Logan.  There is no formal application form.  Interested high school seniors should submit a brief resume including:  interests, organized activities, officer positions, and awards;  their school transcript with national testing results; college acceptance notifications; a one-page composition describing their interest in engineering; and telephone and email contact information.   The scholarship committee will determine which applicants will be selected to be interviewed for the scholarship.   Arrangements will be made for the personal interview with each qualified applicant during the middle part of April.   Interested students should submit his/her application to:  Willard Sudduth, PE, 2360 South Taylor Road, Decatur, IL 62521. The Chorale
 
- This is the 2018 Young Artist Scholarship Competition for a $1000 scholarship. Central Illinois high school seniors who are graduating in Spring of 2018 and will continue in musical studies are eligible. Applications, audition dvd or cd, music teacher's signature, personal statement, and a head-shot are all required. Must be available to audition on Sunday, April 8, 2018 and perform at a concert on Saturday, May 5. The Christie Foundation - In collaboration with Parkland College, the Christie Foundation will award 20 Health Professions scholarships for the 2018 fall semester. Students must be full-time in a health profession degree program, a resident of District 505, have a GPA of 3.0 (ACT/SAT requirement for incoming freshman), and demonstrate work and/or volunteer experience in health professions. Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program
CMEC will be giving six scholarships.  Priority will be given to one applicant specializing in Electrical Technology.  All applicants must be either a Coles-Moultrie member or under 21 years of age and a legal dependent of a Coles-Moultrie member.  Applicant must be enrolled in either a 2 or 4 year degree program at an accredited institution in Illinois.  Applicant cannot have previously received a Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative scholarship and employees, directors, and any of their dependents are ineligible.   Applications must be received at Cole-Moultrie's office (104 Dewitt Avenue East, P.O.. Dean Ritter Trust for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
For the 2017-2018 school year, the Dean Ritter Trust will be awarding scholarships in varying amounts between $1000 and $8000 each.  Applicants must be a resident of Illinois, a high school senior in good standing, have a significant hearing loss in one or both ears, and exhibit financial need.  The applications can be downloaded at http://www.deanritter.org/2017-scholarship.   In addition to applications, candidates will need to submit a short response and essay, family financial information, and two letters of recommendation.  Deadline is March 17.2017(updated Feb 2017)

Douglas County Pheasants Forever
-Tom Innes Memorial Scholarship Application-
Applicants must be a child, niece, nephew, or grandchild of a Douglas County Pheasants Forever member or members themselves.  An essay explaining how career choice, hobbies, and or lifestyle align with the missions of Pheasants Forever is required.  Deadline is February 28, 2016.   Applications are available in the guidance office or on this website.

Douglas County Republican Women and Douglas County Central Committee. 
 Two scholarships of $500. are being made available to high school seniors living in Douglas County.   The purpose of this scholarship is to assist civic-minded  Winners will be chosen based on an essay.  Application can be found HERE.  Deadline is April 15, 2016.

EIU Community Ambassadors Scholarship-No less than eleven area seniors will receive a one time $2000 scholarship.  There are no GPA or test requirements.   This scholarship is to reward students who have been leaders and provided service to their communities.  A letter of recommendation and a personal statement/essay is required.  More information and the details of the scholarship can be found  at https://www.edu.eiu/ambassador-scholarship/.  

Elgin and Genevieve Daily Scholarship
Must be enrolled in an agricultural field at Lake Land College or University of Illinois or a music major at Millikin University, be a resident of Coles or Moultrie counties, and be a full-time student. Applications are available at https://www.firstmid.com/scholarship-applications/ and are due by April 15

Farm Credit Agriculture Scholarship
 - Twenty-four $2000 scholarships will be award to high school seniors who plan to enroll in an agriculture-based college curriculum. Apply online at www.farmcreditIL.com by February 28, 2018.   (updated November 2017)

Fred S. Bailey Scholarship at the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign-
This scholarship program is a university YMCA program.   Incoming freshmen, sophomores, and juniors at UIUC are eligible to receive an award of $3000 one time.  As seniors, students may apply for the Bailey Leadership Awards.  Eligibility is based on demonstrated commitment to service, community involvement, leadership, and awareness as well as demonstrated academic achievement and critical thought about the pressing issues facing the world today and financial need.  Applications became available November 7.  Deadline is February 18, 2018.  Apply online:  www.universityymca.org/bailey.  For more information contact University YMCA, 1001 S. Heritage Family Farms Agricultural Scholarship -This scholarship was established in 2014 by the Green family, partners in Heritage Family Farms.  The purpose of the scholarship is to aid a worthy individual in furthering his/her education in an agricultural field.   The amount of the scholarship is $500 and will be paid directly to the college or university on behalf of the recipient.  Any high school senior who is pursuing an agricultural field of study and attending Arcola, Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond, Tuscola or Villa Grove High Schools is encouraged to apply for this scholarship.   Applications must be typed.  Finalists will be interviewed.  Award recipient must allow use of award photo in Heritage Family Farms publications.  Application includes application form, copy of acceptance letter to college or university, photograph, and two letters of recommendations.  Deadline for submissions is April 15.  Applications forms can be obtained from the guidance office of from this website.

Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation 
- 25 scholarships up to $1,000 are now available. Most require student to be a child or grandchild of a veteran. Learn more and apply online at www.ilamvets.org. Deadline March 1(updated November 2017)

Illinois Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Scholarships

 Several scholarships are available for students who are residents of Illinois and citizens of the United States.   Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need and scholastic ability.  Applicants must have a GPA of "C" or above with plans to attend an accredited college or trade school.  Applications can be obtained online at www.ioof-il.org. Completed applications must be postmarked before March 1, 2018.   Applications should be sent to Scholarship Committee, Grand Lodge of Illinois, P.O. Illinois PTA 
- Seniors residing in Illinois, attending Illinois public schools, and enrolling in education related programs in college are eligible to apply for two scholarships, $3000 for 1st place and $2000 for 2nd place. Illinois Sheriff's Association - The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding over 100 scholarships, one from each county, throughout the State of Illinois to students wishing to pursue higher education during the 2017-2018 academic year. The student must be an Illinois resident and enrolling full-time at a Illinois college/university in 2017-2018. Applications are available at http://www.ilsheriff.org/index.php/scholarships. Jim and Millie Smith Scholarship - There is no application for the Jim and Millie Smith Scholarship. The family will decide each year if they wish to present one or more scholarships to members of the current senior class. 

Lake Land College Foundation Scholarships
Applications for the LLC Foundation scholarship are now available at https://www.lakelandcollege.edu/dv/fd/app/index.cfm    The four short essay questions on the application are very important.  Applicants should carefully answer the questions in detail and proof their work.  Only one application is required to be considered for all Foundation scholarships.  Applications are available beginning November 1 and are due February 1(updated November 2017)

Michael William Collins Memorial Scholarship -
 This scholarship will be awarded to a senior who is attending Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond High School.  A GPA of 2.5 is required.  Due date is May 1, 2016.  The application is available at   http://www.michaelwilliamcollinsmemorialscholarship.com  (updated Apr 2016)

Monticello Area Arts Council Scholarship - This scholarship is a $500 cash award given to a senior who is going on to pursue a career in the arts. Any graduating senior residing in Piatt County that meets the criteria is encouraged to apply. The deadline is  March 31, 2016 . The application is available by clicking HERE(updated March 2017)

The Murray Wise Associates Foundation Scholarhip
 - 
Applicants must be pursuing a career in agriculture. Awards will be based on demonstrated scholastic ability; leadership in school, church and community activities; and commitment to agriculture or related fields. National Wild Turkey Federation Academic Scholarship Program -
 Applicants should have at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale as well as actively support the preservation of the hunting tradition and participate in hunting sports.  A copy of current hunting license is required.  Applications are available on this website.  Deadline is January 1, 2017.  In the past there have been multiple local winners.  Local winner will receive a minimum of $250, state winners a minimum of $1000, and national winner $10,000.  Applications should be sent to Scott Branca,  1130 North,U.S. Highway 45, Tuscola, IL 61953. Presidential Scholarship (Lake Land College) - This scholarship is a tuition waiver scholarship awarded for a maximum of two consecutive calendar years beginning with fall semester as the first enrollment period. Students will be required to pay fees. Eligible students must graduate within the top 15% of their senior class or have an ACT composite of 26/SAT total score of 1240 and reside in LLC district or graduate from a high school in LLC district. SBL Volunteer Guild Scholarships
The Sarah Bush Lincoln Volunteer Guild Scholarship program is offering scholarships to students in the healthcare field. In order to meet criteria, students must be an Illinois resident, be enrolled or accepted into a hospital-related healthcare professional curriculum, attending a school that is accredited or recognized as an approved program by the appropriate agencies. There is also a GPA requirement of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. 2017 scholarship applications can be downloaded, or to receive a scholarship packet in the mail, contact Colleen Stoner, director of volunteer services at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System at (217) 258-2500. South Central Careers in Ag Scholarship 
- Seniors pursuing a two year degree in agronomy or related crop production degree are eligible to apply. Scholarship covers all tuition and fees to a junior college of your choice. Student must work for South Central for 24 months following graduation, maintain a full-time course load and a 2.4 GPA. If employment is terminated during the 24 month period, all scholarship monies must be refunded. To apply complete application by March 1, 2017. Steve Finke Memorial Scholarship - There is no application for the Steve Finke Memorial Scholarship. The family will decide each year if they wish to present one or more scholarships to members of the current senior class. 

Thomas Dixon Memorial Scholarship
-
This scholarship, given by the Kirby auxiliary, is to be applied toward tuition, fees, board and room, or books.  It will be given to a qualified student ofPiatt County, Illinois, who is pursuing a field of study in health careers.  Any student currently enrolled in or accepted into a certificate or degree conferring health care sequence is eligible to apply.  Schools attended must be accredited or recognized as a legitimate institution, but need not be a school in Illinois.   Applications are currently available at http://www.kirbymedical.org.   Scholarship deadline is April 15. Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program-
Nine $2000 scholarships are awarded annually. Five will be awarded to a student who is a son or daughter of an Illinois Electric cooperative member who uses Coles Moultrie, one scholarship "The Earl W. Struck Memorial Scholarship" will be awarded to a student who is son or daughter of an Illinois electric cooperative employee or director. and three additional scholarships will be reserved for use at a two-year Illinois community college and sons and daughters of Illinois electric cooperative members, employees and directors are all eligible.  Scholarships are awarded based on grade point average, college entrance test scores, work and volunteer experience, participation in school and community activities, biographical statement and knowledge electric cooperatives as demonstrated by a short essay.  Deadline is December 31, 2017.  Applications should be  sent electronically through website www.cmec.coop under the Community menu. (updated December 2017)
